Here is a nice, used
old vintage
Russell Die Handle and 8 of its unique dies.  The die handle is 13-1/2" long and holds 1-1/2" O.D. round dies.  There are 8 dies included.  Russell Screw Plate (Greenfield, Mass.) made unique "double reversible dies".
"These dies were designed to cut equally well from either face and have two sets of cutting edges.  When one set of cutting edges becomes worn out, the die may be reversed, thus bringing the other set of cutting edges into action.  This gives them double the life of old dies".  See the last photo for the description of the wooden box where these assorted pieces came from.

These dies are very old and in great shape for their age.  The sizes of the dies are: 3/8-16, 3/8-24, 7/16-14, 7/16-20, 1/2-13, 1/2-20, 9/16-18 and 5/8-18.
